Lehigh Valley Resources for Families Seeking Dementia Care Information and Assistance
Lehigh Valley Resources for Families Seeking Dementia Care Information and Assistance
May 6, 2025
As the Lehigh Valley population ages, the number of dementia cases will increase, most likely at a higher rate. Estimates predict that, as Baby Boomers age, dementia cases will double from about 514,000 cases per year to 1 million a year by 2060. Alzheimer’s and other dementias are unpleasant, and even terrifying, health spectres hovering over an aging population.
If you are a senior or have senior loved ones, becoming familiar with dementia care resources is a wise move, even if there are no signs of dementia at this point. In fact, investigating resources that can help identify the signs will prepare you for a time when you may wonder if those “senior moments” are harbingers of something more serious on the horizon.
Heather Glen, a leading personal and memory care community in Allentown, PA, knows how Alzheimer’s and other dementias can affect individuals and families, so we offer the following list of resources for information and assistance.
